What. A. Week.
Cheltenham Race Week is always big…but this year felt on another level.
Three days, three completely different vibes, and some of the best crowds we’ve played to in a long time. If you were there, you’ll know exactly what we mean.
Here’s how it went down from The Afterparty's side…
Tuesday – Straight Into It at The Centaur
No easing in this week.
Tuesday night at The Centaur and it was full throttle from the first note.
The place filled up fast and you could feel it straight away — that Race Week buzz where everyone’s already up for it.
We went in with an electric high-energy set and the crowd just met us there instantly. Dancefloor rammed, hands in the air, people singing back at us… the kind of night where you look at each other mid-song like “yeah, this is going off.”
Perfect way to start the week!
Thursday – Slowing It Down (Slightly) with Marcello & Martin
Thursday was a completely different vibe — same buzz, just a bit more laid-back.
Members of The Afterparty, Marcello and Martin took over the sales area with an acoustic daytime set, and honestly, it was exactly what that space needed.
Guests chatting, drinks flowing, that steady background energy building throughout the day. Not everything at Cheltenham has to be full send and this was one of those moments where the music just fits.
Friday – Absolute Madness in Best Mate
And then Friday happened.
Best Mate enclosure. 6-piece band. And honestly…the vibes were impeccable.
From the first set it was clear this was going to be big, and it just kept building.
By the time we were fully into it, it was packed shoulder to shoulder with full crowd singalongs and no-one one standing still!
One of those gigs where it’s non-stop, you come off stage buzzing, and everyone’s like “what just happened?”
Crazy busy, ridiculously fun, and exactly what Race Week Friday should feel like.

It’s not just another event, it’s that mix of people ready to celebrate all day and crowds that actually want to get involved.

Cheltenham never disappoints, but this year was right up there for us.
